Mostly because I haven’t had to re-apply it every other day like other bio-lubes I’ve tried. "Dumonde's BioGreen lube surprised me because it doesn't act "green"
IT ACTUALLY WORKS.
Other "green," "biodegradable," "earth
friendly," "plant-based" lubes I've sampled were
either very short-lived or incredibly messy. Short
lived was especially frustrating - how "green"
can a product be if you need to apply it so often
that you go though bottles and bottles of it? And
messy too. You won't convince people to switch
from their "non-green" favorite lube they've used
for years and years if the alternative "green"
product turns their drivetrain into a sticky quagmire.
However, I've found a green lube that I like.
Dumonde's Original and Lite lubes don't require
a heavy coat, last a long time, are very clean
and perform superbly. Bio-Green so far seems
to perform very much like regular Dumonde: the
difference I noticed is it's just a touch messier
and, perhaps, not as tenacious in wet conditions.
It provides 80 to 90 percent of the (very,
very high) performance of regular Dumonde. It's
good enough that I've finally found a "green"
lube I can switch to with little perceptible performance
